Overview:

The Senior Cash Applications & Audit Analyst is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of cash application, banking operations, payment processing, refund management, and reconciliation activities across the Order-to-Cash process. This role serves as a key control point within financial operations by driving transaction accuracy, audit readiness, financial compliance, and continuous process improvement while partnering with Finance, Treasury, Accounts Receivable, Customer Service, and Banking stakeholders.

What You Will Do:

Review daily bank reports, lockbox files, EFT reports, credit card reports, and internal cash reports
Monitor banking transactions and ensure completeness and accuracy of financial activities
Perform bank balancing and reconciliation activities across multiple accounts and business units
Apply customer payments accurately and timely while resolving payment allocation issues
Process incoming and outgoing cash transfers, validating supporting documentation and approvals
Manage customer refunds, returned checks, stop payments, ACH returns, and replacement checks
Investigate and resolve banking discrepancies, unapplied cash, refund inquiries, and transaction exceptions
Generate and distribute operational and financial reports while ensuring data accuracy
Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial close activities
Execute compliance procedures and financial controls supporting internal and external audit requirements
Maintain audit documentation, reconciliation records, and process documentation
Identify opportunities to improve transaction accuracy, efficiency, controls, and reporting processes
Provide guidance and support on cash application, reconciliation, and banking operations activities

What You Need to Succeed:

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Commerce, or a related field
3 to 5 years of experience in Cash Applications, Banking Operations, Accounts Receivable, Treasury Operations, Financial Reconciliation, Audit, or Order-to-Cash functions
Strong knowledge of cash application, banking operations, accounts receivable, and reconciliation processes
Experience with payment processing, refund management, exception handling, and financial controls
Proficiency in ERP platforms such as Oracle, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar financial systems
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including reporting, reconciliation, analysis, and exception management
Strong analytical, investigative, and problem-solving capabilities
Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to financial accuracy and compliance
Effective communication and stakeholder management skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment
Experience supporting audit activities, compliance requirements, and process improvement initiatives is preferred
