Job Summary:

The Accounting Generalist is responsible for supporting various accounting functions including general accounting & month end close support, general ledger maintenance, reconciliations, and financial reporting. The role ensures accurate and timely processing of financial transactions and compliance with internal controls and accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist with daily / monthly / yearly close activities (general accounting, AP, AR, etc)
Prepare general ledger entries
Perform bank reconciliations and account reconciliations regularly
Prepare and support basic financial reports and schedules
Monitor and resolve discrepancies in financial records
Complete ad hoc requests from team members
Ensure compliance with internal policies and accounting standards
Assist with audit requirements and documentation as needed
Coordinate with internal departments for financial data and approvals

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Minimum 2–3 years of experience in accounting or general accounting role
Ability to work US business hours 9 am – 6 pm PST (1 hour lunch)
Strong knowledge of accounting principles
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
Good organizational and time management skills
Ability to be flexible, manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Team player with exceptional collaboration abilities
Strong sense of ownership, accountability and discretion with financial data

Preferred Skills:

Experience in end-to-end accounting processes
Exposure to ERP systems
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, data validation, etc)
Proficiency in accounting software (Quickbooks, SAP, Netsuite, or similar)
