Role Description The Licensed Chemist is a full-time, on-site role based at BF Industries, Inc. in Davao. This role is responsible for performing routine and specialized laboratory analyses on coconut-based charcoal products to ensure they meet internal standards and customer specifications. The Licensed Chemist prepares and tests samples, documents and interprets analytical results, and contributes to quality control procedures across production batches. The role also supports research and development initiatives aimed at improving product performance, optimizing processes, and enhancing activated carbon characteristics. Collaboration with production teams, adherence to safety and regulatory requirements, and preparation of technical reports and certifications are part of the day-to-day responsibilities.
Qualifications

Strong laboratory skills, including sample preparation, wet chemistry techniques, and instrument operation.
Experience in quality control, with the ability to implement testing protocols and monitor compliance with product standards.
Excellent analytical skills, with the capacity to interpret data, troubleshoot issues, and support process improvements.
Background in research and development (R&D) and research, particularly in materials, chemical processes, or related fields.
Valid license as a Chemist, with a bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a closely related discipline.
Knowledge of industrial or manufacturing environments, preferably in charcoal, activated carbon, or similar products.
Familiarity with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements applicable to chemical laboratories and production facilities.
Ability to work on-site in Davao, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and communicate clearly in written and verbal formats.
