Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Financial Accountant with strong end-to-end accounting experience to support the financial operations of Australian entities. This role requires someone who is confident across the full accounting cycle, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently while maintaining high levels of accuracy and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Manage end-to-end accounting processes including general ledger management, journal entries, and month-end close.
Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and timely resolution of discrepancies.
Prepare and review financial reports and supporting schedules.
Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
Maintain accurate financial records in accordance with accounting standards and company policies.
Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure financial data is accurate and up to date.
Support audits by preparing required documentation and reconciliation schedules.
Monitor financial transactions and ensure proper recording in accounting systems.
Continuously identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and controls.

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Strong experience in end-to-end accounting and financial reporting.
Proven experience performing bank reconciliations and general ledger reconciliations.
Experience working with Australian companies or Australian accounting standards is required.
Proficiency in accounting systems and financial software.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Experience

Experience supporting Australian businesses in a remote or offshore environment.
Familiarity with common Australian accounting platforms (e.g., Xero, MYOB, NetSuite, or similar).
