Our client, a global payments firm, is looking for an experienced Commercial Cards and SME Payments Consultant with strong Commercial Cards, SME Business Banking, B2B payments and stakeholder management experience to support an SME Path-to-Issuance initiative in the Philippines.

The role will lead the end-to-end delivery of the SME Path-to-Issuance agenda, focused on designing, mobilising and launching Business Card propositions for SMB market issuer and fintech clients.

The role is based in Manila, Philippines and is on-site for a 12-month contract.

The consultant will translate market opportunities and issuer priorities into executable Business Card propositions, support Customer Value Proposition development, manage implementation activity and lead stakeholder alignment across client and internal teams.

What you will be doing

Lead delivery of the SME Path-to-Issuance framework for priority issuer and fintech engagements in the Philippines.
Translate market opportunities, issuer priorities and SMB customer needs into executable Business Card propositions.
Lead mobilisation from opportunity definition through proposition design, implementation planning, launch readiness and post-launch stabilisation.
Develop Product Line Strategy and Customer Value Proposition materials for SMB Business Card propositions.
Define product, customer, implementation and commercialisation requirements with issuer and Mastercard stakeholders.
Lead cross-functional delivery across product, technology, operations, risk, implementation and commercial teams.
Manage governance routines, delivery plans, decision logs, RAID management and executive reporting.
Facilitate senior workshops and decision forums with issuer, fintech and internal stakeholders.
Prepare senior client and internal progress updates, recommendations and escalation materials.
Lead launch planning, readiness assessment, go-to-market preparation and post-launch optimisation planning.

Your background

10+ years of experience in Commercial Cards, SME Business Banking, B2B payments, issuing or related financial services roles.
Experience leading card product launches, proposition development or implementation programmes.
Strong understanding of Commercial Cards, Business Card propositions and SME payment needs.
Understanding of card issuing, BIN activation, issuer operations and payment ecosystem dependencies.
Experience developing Product Line Strategy, Customer Value Propositions or similar proposition materials.
Experience leading cross-functional delivery across product, technology, operations, risk, implementation and commercial teams.
Strong senior stakeholder management skills across issuer, fintech and internal teams.
Strong programme delivery skills, including governance, RAID management, decision tracking and executive reporting.
Local Philippines market experience is highly desirable.
English & Tagalog language capability is required.
