Your Role

As a Senior Estimator / Quantity Surveyor, you will support our Australia-based estimating team by preparing accurate cost estimates, performing quantity take-offs, and supporting project tendering activities.

Specifically, You Will:

Perform detailed and accurate quantity take-offs from drawings and specifications for mechanical (piping) projects.
Analyse project documentation, including plans, specifications, schedules, and subcontractor or supplier pricing.
Collaborate with the Australia-based estimating team to meet strict tender deadlines and assist in preparing tender submissions.
Prepare detailed bills of materials for project teams while maintaining and updating cost databases and historical pricing records.
Identify operational risks, cost-saving opportunities, and value engineering solutions to improve project outcomes.

What You Need

Non-negotiables

Proven experience as an Estimator or Quantity Surveyor within the mechanical construction industry.
Strong understanding of mechanical systems and piping installations.
High proficiency in CostX (including Revit capabilities) and Bluebeam.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and analytical problem-solving abilities.
Strong written and verbal English communication skills with the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
Experience collaborating with international teams.

Preferred Skills/Expertise

Experience supporting Australian construction or mechanical contracting projects, with knowledge of Australian standards.
Degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
Experience using Power BI, Microsoft Access, and other data analytics tools.
Background or foundational knowledge in mechanical engineering.
