What You'll Do

Filings execution:

Prepare and file high volumes of US state and local sales tax returns and European VAT returns
Manage filing calendars and ensure deadlines are never missed
Work with tax authorities and Departments of Revenue to resolve notices, rejections, portal issues, and questions
Maintain accurate records and audit trails

Registrations & account maintenance:

Complete sales tax and VAT registrations across jurisdictions
Gather and organize the information and documentation for each registration
Send clear, written follow-ups to collect missing information from customers when needed
Track registration status and follow up with jurisdictions
Maintain portal access and account details across states and countries

3-6 years of relevant experience with hands-on accounting or indirect-tax compliance work
Experience preparing and filing US sales-tax returns and working inside tax portals
Familiarity with accounting fundamentals
Strong Excel skills and comfort handling structured financial data
Fluent written and spoken English
Comfort with high-volume, repetitive execution work

Nice to have

European VAT filing experience
Experience with both US sales-tax and VAT filings
Sales-tax or VAT registration experience
An accounting background or qualification
Experience at a filing or compliance provider, shared-services team, accounting firm, or Big Four firm
Experience in high-throughput operations where accuracy and deadlines were the bar
