Responsibilities

Position Overview

Assist customs broker in export documentation requirements such as:
Commercial Invoice
Packing List
Bill of Lading / Airway Bill
Certificate of Origin
Other regulatory documents as required.
Coordinate with:
Freight Forwarder
Customs Broker
Shipping lines and Air lines
Internal Department (PPIC, Finance, Warehouse)
Ensure compliance with international trade regulations and latest incoterms issued by the International Chamber of Commerce
Monitor Shipment schedule and ensure on-time delivery of export orders
Monitors Customs Clearance processes and resolve shipment issues or delays
Maintains accurate records of export transactions and ensure proper filing of documents.
Prepares export reports and provide updates to management
Assist in accreditation and compliance requirements related to export operations

Education

Graduate of bachelor's degree in Customs or Business Administration

Experience

Have at least 2-3 years experience in export operations, logistics or international trading
Preferably a Licensed Customs Broker
Have experience in handling export documentation and customs clearance
Have familiarity with freight forwarding processes and coordination with shipping lines
Knowledgeable in export procedures and documentation (Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Bill of Lading, Certificate of Origin, etc)
Familiar with regulation of the Bureau of Customs and government agencies related to export
Understanding of incoterms

Skills

Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Have strong coordination and communication skills
Detail-oriented and highly organized
Ability to work under pressure and meet shipping lines deadlines
Have strong problem-solving skills
Good negotiation skills with freight forwarders and brokers
Willing to work extended hours when necessary (especially during shipment schedule)
Can work with minimal supervision.
