What is the role that we need A General Accountant's role involves maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial statements and reports, ensuring compliance with regulations, and analyzing financial data to support informed decision-making.

Managing the Company's bank accounts and complete bank reconciliations
Managing the Company's accounts payable process, including entering invoices, initiating payments etc.
Managing the Company's accounts receivable process, including creating invoices, following up on payment status etc.
Record and analysis bi-weekly expenses for payroll
Record and manage prepaids and accruals
Record rent, utilities, credit card transactions etc.
Assist with month-end closing activities on a timely basis
Complete intercompany reconciliations and investigate any discrepancies
Assist with quarterly reviews and year-end audit by providing schedules and supporting materials
Perform other duties and functions as assigned by Supervisor.

Requirements

Minimum of 2-3 years accounting experience
Undergraduate Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
Strong understand of IFRS and financial reporting
Extensive knowledge and experience with full cycle accounting
Detail-orientation with an ability to communicate and identify problems.
Organized with good time management skills (ability to work under pressure).
Fluency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.). Comfortable using lookups and Pivot Tables
Experience with NetSuite is considered an asset
Proven experience working in a collaborative team environment
