As a Senior Tax Accountant, you will serve as a cornerstone of technical excellence within our North American tax compliance operations. This role is designed for a public practice veteran who can handle complex tax compliance while guiding junior staff. You won't just be preparing returns; you will be managing technical calculations, conducting quality reviews, and ensuring full regulatory alignment with state and federal tax authorities. Your Impact

Tax Preparation: Prepare moderate to complex Form 1120, 1120S, 1065, and 1040 federal and state tax returns.
Quality Review: Review basic to moderate tax returns prepared by staff accountants to ensure accuracy.
Calculations & Provisions: Prepare federal and state extensions, quarterly estimates, and book-to-tax reconciliations using standard workpaper templates.
Notice Responses: Handle and respond to tax notices and assessments from tax authorities.
Asset Management: Apply and report complex asset depreciation rules accurately across client filings.

What You Bring

Experience:3+ years of public accounting experience in US taxation.
System Skills: Strong proficiency with CCH Axcess and Microsoft Excel. Familiarity with CCH Engagement (trial balances, tax return linking) and tax research tools is a distinct plus.
Tax Legislation: A deep, strong understanding of US tax laws, schedules, and filing requirements.
Education: A college degree with a heavy concentration in accounting or tax courses.
Professional Attributes: Excellent communication, organizational, and client-facing customer service skills, paired with a positive attitude and strong time management.
