The role

You will lead an in-house shared services team providing operational support for insurance and risk management processes to internal stakeholders and business units globally. This role is responsible for managing day-to-day service delivery, ensuring process efficiency, compliance, and service-level adherence within a centralized shared services environment. The ideal candidate is a hands-on people manager with insurance or risk management industry experience, capable of working shifting schedules.

Your Responsibilities

Manage and lead an in-house insurance operations shared services team to deliver consistent, high-quality support to internal stakeholders
Ensure service-level agreements (SLAs), turnaround times, and quality standards are met within the shared services model
Plan and manage team schedules, workloads, and capacity to support shifting schedules and NA time zones
Drive standardization, process documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives across insurance operations
Ensure compliance with internal controls, audit requirements, and insurance regulatory standards
Act as the primary escalation point for operational issues and service delivery challenges
Partner with internal teams such as Risk Management, Finance, Legal, and HR to align service delivery and resolve issues
Lead performance management, coaching, training, and development of team members
Track, analyze, and report operational KPIs, productivity, and quality metrics to leadership
Support transition of new processes into shared services and ensure readiness for go-live

What We're Looking For

3-5 years of proven experience as a people manager within an insurance, risk management, healthcare account or related shared services environment
Industry background in claims/insurance or risk management (e.g., brokerage, consulting, or insurance services
Experience working in an in-house shared services, captive, or global business services (GBS) model preferred
Strong understanding of insurance operations workflows and controls
Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Process-driven mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
Ability to start immediately or within a short notice period
Willingness and flexibility to work on shifting schedules
