Netlink Voice is seeking a detail-oriented Telecom Tax Associate to support compliance, reporting, and research related to sales tax and telecommunications tax obligations. This role plays a critical part in ensuring accurate tax treatment under GAAP, maintaining compliance with state and local Departments of Revenue, and supporting the company's billing and finance operations.

Key Responsibilities

Tax Compliance & Reporting

Assist with the preparation, review, and filing of sales tax and telecommunications tax returns across multiple jurisdictions
Ensure proper tax treatment in accordance with GAAP and applicable federal, state, and local regulations
Support month-end and year-end close activities related to tax accounts

Data Entry & Accuracy

Perform accurate data entry related to tax calculations, filings, and reconciliations
Maintain organized tax records, supporting documentation, and audit trails
Reconcile tax data between billing systems, accounting records, and tax filings

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Work closely with Accounting, Finance, Billing, and Operations teams to ensure accurate tax application
Assist with system updates or billing adjustments related to tax compliance

Required Qualifications

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field
Working knowledge of GAAP principles
Familiarity with sales tax and/or telecommunications tax concepts
Strong attention to detail and high level of data accuracy
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic accounting systems

Preferred

Experience in the telecommunications.
Prior experience researching Department of Revenue guidance or tax regulations
Exposure to multi-state tax compliance
Experience with tax automation or billing platforms
