This growth owes itself to the ongoing expansion in the BPO sector. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Similarly, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.foundit.com.ph\/search\/software-engineer-jobs\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">Software<\/a>, Hardware, Telecom (+4%) <\/strong>roles saw a rise in hiring demand. However, roles in <strong>Engineering\/Production\/Real Estate (0%)<\/strong> saw muted growth. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Facing Challenges: <\/strong>&nbsp;<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>In November&#8217;23, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foundit.com.ph\/search\/finance-jobs\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\"><strong>Finance<\/strong><\/a> &amp; Accounts (-10%) and Purchase\/Logistics\/Supply Chain (-10%) job roles experienced the most significant decline, with the latter showing a consistent downward trend throughout the year. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Also, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foundit.com.ph\/search\/hospitality-jobs\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\"><strong>Hospitality<\/strong><\/a> &amp; Travel (-9%) roles faced a substantial annual decline. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Other functions to witness a subsequent drop in hiring activity in November\u201923 include <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foundit.com.ph\/search\/sales-jobs\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\"><strong>Sales<\/strong><\/a> &amp; Business Development (-8%), Marketing &amp; Communications (-6%), <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foundit.com.ph\/search\/health-care-jobs\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\"><strong>Healthcare<\/strong><\/a> (-3%). While HR &amp; Admin (-1%) roles showcased a marginal drop annually. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Hiring Trends &#8211; Industry (YoY numbers) <\/strong>&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>In November&#8217;23, positive annual hiring growth was observed in 5 out of the 12 monitored industries.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>In demand: <\/strong>&nbsp;<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>The Retail (+37%) <\/strong>sector experienced a substantial annual growth in online hiring demand, maintaining its impressive trend. &nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Following closely, the <strong>Education (+23%) <\/strong>industry showcased exponential growth, underscoring the region&#8217;s increased focus on upskilling, majorly in AI\/ML. &nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Additionally, the <strong>BPO\/ITES (+10%) sector <\/strong>sustained its positive annual trend in November&#8217;23. &nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Facing Challenges: <\/strong>&nbsp;<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>Logistics, Courier\/ Freight\/ Transportation, Shipping (-20%) <\/strong>faced the most significant annual decline followed by <strong>IT, Telecom\/ISP (-16%)<\/strong>, and <strong>Hospitality (-14%)<\/strong>, all experiencing a downturn. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The initiatives undertaken by the Filipino government in digitalisation might have the way for high-quality jobs, potentially offering better remuneration opportunities, which could drive growth in certain sectors in the coming months. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the monitored sectors, <strong>Engineering, Construction, and Real Estate (+1%) <\/strong>and <strong>Healthcare (+4%) <\/strong>showed slight but positive growth trends.
