Online Hiring in the Philippines drops to -36%

  • The Monster Employment Index Philippines finds online hiring activity locally declined by 36% year-on-year between July 2014 and July 2015. This is a 4% drop between June and July this year.

  • Once again, the BPO/ITES industry registered the highest yearly growth at 9%, with the Production/Manufacturing, Automotive and Ancillary sector faring the worst at -57%.

  • Customer Service jobs saw the biggest increase year-over-year at 18%, up eight percentage points between June and July 2015.

  • Yet again, Engineering/Production, Real Estate jobs experienced the biggest decline at -50%, dropping one more percentage point since last month.
